Labconco PCR hood
The Labconco PCR enclosures provide product protection from airborne particulate matter. During operation, room air is drawn through the prefilter on top of the enclosure, forced through the blower and then through the HEPA filter and diffuser. The clean air in the work area in the enclosure meets or exceeds ISO Standard Class 5 conditions defined per ISO 14644-1 and Class 100 conditions as defined by Federal Standard 209E. The enclosure uses a single HEPA filter, which is rated at least 99.99% efficient for 0.3-micron particles. The Labconco Purifier PCR enclosure is a specialized vertical clean bench that provides a controlled environment in which to perform polymerase chain reaction experiments. These enclosures include a variable digital timer that provides UV light exposure continuously or in user-selected increments of 5, 10, 15, 30, 60, 120 or 240 minutes to deactivate DNA and RNA contaminants. When the set time expires, the UV light automatically switches off in preparation for the next experiment.
All of the equipment we sell is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.
