Item 4284F READER - Luminex Magpix
Luminex Magpix multiplexing unit
The Luminex MAGPIX system is a versatile multiplexing platform capable of performing qualitative and quantitative analysis of proteins and nucleic acids in a variety of sample matrices. Functions that previously required multiple instruments can be performed on a single platform with the Luminex MAGPIX, providing labs with flexibility. The Luminex MAGPIX requires less sample input than other technologies and can perform up to 50 tests in a single reaction volume, greatly reducing sample input, reagents and labor while improving productivity. The MAGPIX innovative design is based on CCD imaging technology and has been engineered to fit a compact design. Streamlined start-up and shut-down protocols and minimal maintenance requirements make the system easy to operate and maintain. MAGPIX is supported with a broad menu of commercially available assay kits.
Applications include protein research (cytokines and chemokines, cell signaling, inflammatory mediators, cancer markers, cardiac markers, protein expression, infectious disease, transcription factors, apoptosis, hormone receptors, and neurobiology, among others) and molecular research (gene expression, SNP genotyping, and MicroRNA, among others).
Please note that this unit is being sold without software. While we are able to test certain pieces of analytical equipment using software in our shop, most software licenses are non-transferrable. New software should be purchased directly from the manufacturer by each lab installing the instrument and we price the equipment with this expectation. Please call or email us for more details.
All of the equipment we sell is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.
