The Sheldon manufacturing model 2440 CO2 incubator is a large capacity incubator designed for keeping tissue culture flasks, cell factories or roller bottle rack systems, or any other sample configuration that requires a large capacity chamber at a constant temperature and CO2 level. It is ideal for cell harvesting. This unit features voluminous space, four interior electrical outlets and a reinforced floor with recessed channels to facilitate movement of equipment such as roller racks. This incubator provides excellent temperature uniformity through advanced engineering to create forced air circulation throughout the chamber in order to help all samples to incubate at the same rate and eliminate any cold spots in the chamber. The air jacket facilitates quick and easy setup.

The temperature uniformity is +/-0.25°C at 37°C and the display/setpoint resolution is 0.1°C. The CO2 sensor is an infrared style and the CO2 recovery rate after resealing the chamber door is typically under 5 minutes, depending on the CO2 setpoint. Alarm conditions for CO2 level is +/-1% while the temperature alarm level is +/-1°C. Exterior dimensions are 41”W x 34”D x 87”H. Interior (chamber) dimensions are 35”W x 26”D x 76.5”H. This unit comes with five shelves, adjustable at half inch increments.

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test incubators using a calibrated digital chart recorder to verify the accuracy of temperature controls and readouts. We replace any hardware or parts as is necessary and clean all incubators thoroughly prior to shipment.
