The Beckman Coulter MLA-80 is a fixed angle rotor rated for 80 000 rpm. The MLA-80 has a tube angle of 26 degrees from the axis and can centrifuge up to eight tubes. The Beckman Coulter MLA-80 is compatible with Beckman Coulter Optima MAX, MAXXP, and MAX-E tabletop ultracentrifuges. The rotor is made of titanium and is finished with black polyurethane paint. The lid is made of aluminum and anodized to resist corrosion. The rotor is specially designed with a fluid-containment annulus located below the O-ring sealing surface. The annulus retains fluid that may escape from leaking or overfilled tubes, thereby preventing the liquid from escaping into the instrument chamber.

Our technicians inspect all rotors, including any buckets, gaskets and overspeed disks. Fixed angle rotors are closely inspected for body integrity; swinging bucket rotors supplied with buckets are checked for proper weight distribution. When possible we run each rotor in a compatible centrifuge to make sure the rotor spins properly.
