The Eppendorf 5415 is an industry standard and still one of the most popular micro centrifuges that we carry. It’s inexpensive, reliable, and ubiquitous – if you have a lot of experience with microcentrifuges chances are you’ve worked with more than one Eppedorf 5415, and if you haven’t yet you probably will soon. The Eppendorf 5415 is used for quickly separating precipitates and liquids of different specific densities. Analog controls allow users to adjust speed and run times. This is little a workhorse of a machine that provides consistent and quiet operation while taking up a minimal amount of bench space.

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly. If the centrifuge is refrigerated we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.

Our technicians inspect all rotors, including any buckets, gaskets and overspeed disks. Fixed angle rotors are closely inspected for body integrity; swinging bucket rotors supplied with buckets are checked for proper weight distribution. When possible we run each rotor in a compatible centrifuge to make sure the rotor spins properly.

The photos above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
