The Thermo Sorvall Legend XF is a floor standing model that can fit underneath counters and save valuable lab bench space. The Sorvall Legend XF has locking casters. The Auto-Lock III rotor system allows the installation and exchange of rotors with just the push of a button for quick switch between applications as well as easy chamber access enables cleaning convenience, reducing contamination risk and leading to improved research and a healthier working environment. This unit includes the Thermo BIOLiner rotor and buckets with a max capacity of 4 x 750mL and a top speed of 3,500rpm.

Applications for the Thermo Sorvall Legend XF include cell culture, microplate, bioproduction, blood separation, microbiology, and other general purpose lab activities. Other features include an intuitive control panel and digital display; detailed operation information, including display of set and actual parameters, maximizes run performance and temperature accuracy for improved sample protection; and easily adjustable speed, time and temperature, even during the run, with the convenient keyboard for direct input.

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly. If the centrifuge is refrigerated we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned.  If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together. 

Our technicians inspect all rotors, including any buckets, gaskets and overspeed disks. Fixed angle rotors are closely inspected for body integrity; swinging bucket rotors supplied with buckets are checked for proper weight distribution. When possible we run each rotor in a compatible centrifuge to make sure the rotor spins properly.

Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
