Buchi R-215 rotary evaporator system

  • Buchi R-215 tower
  • V-855 vacuum controller
  • B-495 heating bath
  • V-710 vacuum pump
  • 90 day warranty

The Buchi R-215 rotary evaporator “rotavapor” system includes the R-215 tower, V-855 vacuum controller, B-495 heating bath, and V-710 vacuum pump. The Buchi R-215 rotavapor features a display of vapor temperature and rotation speed for precise monitoring as well as increased reproducibility. The continuous vapor duct prevents cross contamination. Rotation speeds are adjustable from 20 to 280rpm.

The Buchi V-855 vacuum controller a large graphic display and easy operation with a rotary knob allowing for vacuum adjustment. The V-855 allows for vacuum regulation to a specified set point and features a library with 43 specified solvents. The EasyVac function is an automatic process-control based on vapor pressure detection. Gradient programming for special distillation task is also possible with the V-855.

The Buchi B-495 heating bath has a temperature range from 20°C to 95°C. The B-495 can accept flasks up to 4L.

The Buchi V-710 is a three-stage, four head PFTE diaphragm pump has a flow rate of 3.1m3/hour and is designed to pull low ultimate vacuum of <2mbar. This pump is oil free and has an operating noise level of only 41 to 55 dBA, depending on application. The ECO2-Mode utilizes low energy consumption and produces low solvent emissions as well as low noise levels, which is ideal for both drying samples overnight and evaporation or high boiling point solvents at low vacuum.

Buchi rotary evaporators allow users to quickly perform single step distillations in a product friendly manner with the evaporation and condensation of solvents using the rotating evaporating flask. Distillations are typically performed under vacuum, which helps protect the product and increases performance output. While specific conditions will varying depending on application, the basic operation of a Buchi rotovap system is as follows: the solvent is heated over a heating bath while the drive unit rotates the evaporating flask evenly. The solvent vapor flows quickly into the condenser and the energy in the solvent is transferred to the cooling medium. And presto bingo, the solvent condenses and collects in the receiving flask.

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.

The photos above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
