The Thermo Shandon Finesse ME+ Microtome meets the most demanding workloads found in today’ busy laboratories. The blade holder provides greater versatility, improved productivity, and increased stability while sectioning. The display monitors a range of functions including cutting speed, section count, section thickness, and advance distance. Emergency stop immediately cuts power to the motor.

The Shandon Finesse ME+ commands are available for viewing in up to 11 languages. It has wide, curved armrests; precision response, free-running, balanced flywheel; standby key that allows the unit to go into sleep mode, which saves the customized parameters in memory; a user-selected cutting sector control that maximizes throughput by allowing the return stroke to be faster than the optimized cutting stroke; knife angle position locator; specimen orientation light; section counter; and 35 mm total specimen advance.

All of the equipment we sell is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.
