The Spex CertiPrep 2000 features a unique vigorous up-and-down grinding/pulverizing action that prepares plant material such as seeds, stems, roots, leaves, and certain animal tissue. Sample preparation is completed in about two minutes with the addition of 1-2 grinding balls to the sample along with a buffer solution. The Spex CertiPrep 2000 handles two standard deep-well titer plates (5 in. long x 3 in. wide x 2 in. high) and can accommodate height adjustment spacers to handle titer plates, racks, vials, and other configurations of up to 2 1/4 inches in height. A digital timer displays both the full timer setting along with the minutes and seconds remaining in the grinding cycle while an adjustable dial allows the operator to set the precise vertical grinding speed between 500 and 2000 strokes per minute.

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.
