The Microfluidics HC homogenizer combines high flow with a high-pressure, fixed-geometry interaction chamber that imparts high shear rates to product formulations. The HC-2000 homogenizer produces up to 2,000 psi with standard lab air. The product stream accelerates to high velocities creating shear rates within the product stream that are orders of magnitude greater than any other conventional means. All of the product experiences identical processing conditions, producing the desired results, including: uniform particle and droplet size reduction (often submicron), deagglomeration and high yield cell disruption. The Microfluidics HC2000 is recommended for applications including emulsions, dispersions, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, liposomes, and food and beverage products, among others.

Other features of the HC2000 include a unique, wear-resistant interaction chamber with no moving parts; pressures to 2,000 psi; sample sizes of 100 ml; sanitary type 316 stainless steel construction; in-line cleaning of high pressure tubing; durable plunger seal, offers wide compatibility range and extended seal life; air-powered and explosion-proof; portable, benchtop; and process stream temperature range -15°F to 165°F (-25°C to 75°C).

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.
