The MP Biomedicals FastPrep 96 high-speed homogenizer is designed to thoroughly and quickly lyse any tissues and cells and thus allows easy and reproducible isolation of stable RNA, active proteins and full-length genomic DNA. The True Linear Motion provides consistent lysis results in every well and eliminates the need to re-orient plates mid-cycle.

A high-speed linear motion to disrupt thoroughly any tissues and cells in just seconds through the simultaneous beating of specialized Lysing Matrix beads on the sample material. This high-performance system saves hours of work during the sample preparation stage and allows for the purification of high yields of intact DNA, RNA, proteins and other metabolites.

The FastPrep 96 can be used for a wide variety of sample types and applications including highly contagious samples; lysis of yeast and fungi; isolation of PCR-Ready genomic DNA from fecal samples; isolation of PCR-Ready genomic DNA from fungi and bacteria samples; isolation of PCR-Ready genomic DNA from soil samples; DNA & RNA purification; lysis of bacteria; lysis of soft tissues; isolation of genomic DNA; purification of DNA; cell lysis; lyse cell wall of yeast; break hard/brittle samples; isolation of DNA from virtually any source.

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.
