How to Order
You may place an order with American Instrument via phone, fax or email.
Payment options include most major credit cards, a check mailed in advance (or provided at pick up for local customers). Net 30 credit terms are also available pending approval; you may call or email us for further details. All international sales require a wire transfer prior to shipping.
We test equipment after receiving an order. Turnaround is typically a week to ten days for small equipment and/or single item orders unless otherwise noted. Please call for more information.
Equipment is shipped via UPS or a freight company, depending on the size and weight of the equipment. Some equipment may require air-ride freight. We are happy to provide shipping estimates for your equipment upon request.
Shipping is F.O.B. Haverhill, MA, via UPS or a national freight/moving company. Local orders can be shipped via a licensed and bonded courier or moving company.
American Instrument Exchange will take reasonable steps to protect the equipment during shipment, and unless otherwise specified the equipment will be insured. The customer will be charged for shipping and handling charges, and fees incurred in the process of delivering the order. Shipping and handling costs will be prepaid and added to customer invoices.
Customers may make pick-up arrangements through their own preferred carrier.
Please inspect the contents of all shipments upon delivery. American Instrument Exchange must be notified of loss or damage the same day as delivery. In case of damage:
- Keep the damaged material and all original packing material including the original packing slip.
- Contact American Instrument Exchange at 978-521-2221.
All equipment comes with a 90-day warranty from the date of shipment unless otherwise specified. Your warranty is only valid if you have paid your invoice. If your invoice is over 30 days old warranty work will not be performed until your invoice is paid in full.
Should there be visible shipping damage to packaging or concealed shipping damage to item(s) supplied, buyer must communicate such damage to the delivering entity or carrier upon receipt first and to American Instrument the same day item is accepted / signed for. Failure to do so voids warranty. Customer decision to involve / procure third party or OEM service other than American Instrument or AIE assigned vendors to resolve in-warranty instrument failure or defect without first placing a service call to American Instrument voids warranty.
