Digilab Genemachines HydroShear

The GeneMachines (Digilab) HydroShear offers an efficient and highly reproducible method for random shearing of DNA. The hydrodynamic shearing forces of the machine can fracture as little as 40 microliters of DNA at any concentration to within a 2-fold size distribution. The Hydroshear DNA Shearing Device is an automated, Point-sink Shearer (PtS). This is the simplest, most reproducible, and controllable method that you’re going to find for generating random DNA fragments. The GeneMachines Hydroshear DNA Shearing Device creates and controls hydrodynamic forces that work in conjunction with its innovative shearing assembly to consistently and repeatably shear DNA. A wide range of DNA samples are compatible with the Hydroshear DNA Shearing Device, and the shearing parameters can be adjusted to produce specific fragment lengths of DNA. We can provide customers with a full copy of the operator’s manual for the GeneMachines Hydroshear as well as software.

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.
