Edwards XDS35i Dry Scroll Pump
- 1-phase 100-120/200-230 v. 25 CFM
- Vacuum pressure: 1 x 10-2 mbar / 8 x 10-3 Torr
- 90-day warranty
The XDS35i pump has an innovative bearing shield design that isolates the vacuum environment from all forms of lubricant, making it not only totally dry but also hermetically sealed. The shield also protects the bearing from any process vapors.
Gas ballast allows vapor to be handled and opens up the range of applications to many that were previously unsuited to scroll pumps. The inverter drive controls the motor characteristics and ensures the pump always runs at optimum speed.

The XDS35i has dozens of applications, including general clean pumping applications, beam lines and high energy physics, ultra-high speed centrifuges, cryogenics, freeze drying, rare gas recovery, and many more.
The Edwards XDS35i features a simple single sided scroll arrangement combined with an innovative motor and bearing design allows for easy field service with a minimum of special tooling for low cost of ownership and maximum up-time; an advanced interface provides a variety of traditional, analogue and digital control methods enabling remote control/monitoring via USB, RS232 or RS485; is lubricant-free within the vacuum envelope and hermetically sealed means totally clean and dry vacuum to prevent cross contamination; and it’s no atmosphere to vacuum shaft seals mean bearings are completely isolated, which prevents process attack and means the bearings run cooler and last longer.
Sound-deadening enclosure may be available, contact us for details.
Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests, please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.
The photos above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
