The Thermo CRS CataLyst Express is a highly reliable microplate handling solution for around-the-clock, walk-away operation. The CataLyst Express packages the benefits of Thermo’s robotics and integration expertise in a compact, highly reliable microplate loading system. Its error-free technology offers laboratories the confidence to maximize walk-away time and assay throughput. The system easily automates virtually any application, including the loading and unloading of complex instruments. With speeds up to three times faster than competing plate movers, the CataLyst Express gives users greater walk-away time with extensive storage options along with lower maintenance costs with minimal service, higher asset utilization, faster time to results. The Thermo CRS Catalyst Express is a five-axis robotic arm with plug and play capability to work in conjunction with Thermo Scientific Matrix liquid handling instruments. The instrument’s 360º range of motion allows it to work with multiple instruments to increase efficiency and throughput of a wide range of protocols. The Catalyst Express robotic arm can move labware including microplates, storage blocks, storage tube racks, reagent reservoirs and Matrix D.A.R.T.s tips, according to application needs. Applications include DNA purification, gene expression, sequencing reaction setup, protein purification, protein crystallography, and high-content and cell-based screening, among many others.
