The Thermo Scientific Microm HM 325 rotary microtome is designed as a universal multi-purpose microtome for both paraffin sectioning technique and manual hard sectioning in biology, medicine, or industrial applications. Due to its simple operation, durable design, and easy of use this unit is especially good for beginning users who don’t have much experience using a microtome. Section thickness setting can be easily adjusted with either right or left-handed access and the section thickness setting is displayed on the index window on the front of the unit. The one-handed, zero orientation head allows users to cut high-quality paraffin sections and because the unit is manual operation it does not require a power supply. The waste tray to large and easy to clean. The HM 325 also features retraction at the return travel to protect the specimen and manual coarse advance for fast working.

Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.
