Quality Assurance in Reconditioned Furniture
However, lower cost doesn’t imply lower quality. We thoroughly clean our used and reconditioned laboratory furniture and inspect each piece to ensure all components and hardware are present and fully functional. This includes door handles, latches, hinges, drawer railings, power strips, leveling feet, shelves, and shelf holders.
American Instrument Exchange stocks a wide range of painted steel base cabinets, available in various widths and drawer/door configurations. Our casework, primarily constructed from painted steel, offers the longevity and durability needed for busy lab environments.
Standard Measurements and Installation
Standard lab casework measures approximately 22” front-to-back and 35” high. We also offer 30” high or “desk height” casework—please call or email for more information. Epoxy work surfaces, sold separately, measure 1” high and approximately 30” front to back. Typically, casework is installed about 6” from the wall, allowing plumbing and wiring behind the cabinetry.
Thorough Cleaning and Maintenance Checks
We thoroughly clean all casework, remove coving and adhesives, and ensure that all handles are securely fastened. Additionally, we check the sliders on all drawers to confirm that the furniture will function properly after installation in customers’ labs.
