The Nuaire NU427-400 is a Class II, Type B1 bio safety cabinet designed for work treated with minute quantities of volatile toxic chemicals and trace amounts of radionuclides required as an adjunct to microbiological studies if work is done in the direct exhausted portion of the cabinet, or if the chemicals or radionuclides will not interfere with the work when recirculated in the downflow air. Class II type B1 biological safety cabinets are designed to protect the researcher from potentially dangerous samples, and the samples from contamination.

These ventilated workstations are enclosed on three sides, have a positive pressure, and are used in microbiology labs, toxicology labs, and research labs. The units contain pathogens and toxic chemicals inside the work area while at the same time protecting the samples from environmental contamination. Air drawn in at a minimum inflow velocity of 100 ft/min is drawn in through a HEPA filter and then all of the air is exhausted through another HEPA filter.

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test each biosafety cabinet to ensure that the controls and blower motor work properly. Unless otherwise specified all biosafety cabinets come with new HEPA filters installed by our technicians at our facility prior to shipment. Our testing procedure includes all the elements of a biosafety cabinet certification in order to ensure that the unit will pass certification once it is at your site.

The photos above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
