The Beckman Coulter Allegra X-15R (refrigerated) centrifuge is a benchtop centrifuge that generates centrifugal forces required for a wide variety of applications. Together with the Beckman Coulter rotors designed for use in this centrifuge, the centrifuge applications include: Routine processing such as sample preparations, pelleting, extractions, purifications, concentrations, phase separations, receptor binding, and column centrifugations; cell isolation; binding studies and separation of whole blood; processing large numbers of small-volume samples in multiwell plates for concentrating tissue- culture cells, cloning and replicate studies, in-vitro cytotoxicity studies, receptor binding, and genetic engineering experimentation; rapid sedimentation of protein precipitates, large particles, and cell debris.

The Allegra X-15R is microprocessor-controlled, providing interactive operation. The instrument design features a brushless asynchronous motor, automatic rotor identification system, program memory that enables repeated run conditions, temperature control system, and a choice of acceleration and deceleration rates.

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly. If the centrifuge is refrigerated we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.
Our technicians inspect all rotors, including any buckets, gaskets and overspeed disks. Fixed angle rotors are closely inspected for body integrity; swinging bucket rotors supplied with buckets are checked for proper weight distribution. When possible we run each rotor in a compatible centrifuge to make sure the rotor spins properly.
The photos above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
