The Beckman Coulter Optima XL-100K ultracentrifuge can generate 802,000 x g at its top speed of 100,000rpm, so your lab will be able to increase throughput by performing more separations in less time. Beckman’s Optima L series centrifuges utilize vacuum-encased, air-cooled induction drives to provide the most energy-efficient ultracentrifugation system ever made, as well as an air-cooled, environmentally friendly heating/cooling system that is CFC-free. The Optima XL-100K is compatible with over 30 different rotors, including Beckman SW series rotors and NVT rotors. Additionally, imbalance-tolerant drive safety allows for tubes that are over- or under-filled by as much as 10%. The Beckman Optima XL-100K centrifuge also has a key interlock switch for normal, locked, or zonal operation, as well as an energy-efficient consumption and heat output system.

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly. If the centrifuge is refrigerated we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.
Our technicians inspect all rotors, including any buckets, gaskets and overspeed disks. Fixed angle rotors are closely inspected for body integrity; swinging bucket rotors supplied with buckets are checked for proper weight distribution. When possible we run each rotor in a compatible centrifuge to make sure the rotor spins properly.
The photos above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
