The BioRad GS-800 imaging densitometer converts opaque and transparent electrophoretic samples into digital data. Features of the GS-800 include built-in automatic calibration for accurate and reproducible results; transmittance and reflectance modes allowing a wide variety of gel and blot samples; a unique sample isolation design that accommodates both wet and thick gels; red, green, and blue filtered CCD that optimizes detection by matching to spectral properties of a particular colorimetric stain. The true reflectance scanning capabilities of the GS-800 allow for accurate detection and analysis of molecules on the surface of membranes rather than molecules distributed throughout the membrane matrix. True reflectance provides the most accurate detection and analysis of dot blots slot blots and other electro-phoretic blots without quantitation error.

All of the equipment we sell is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.
