The Varian Cary 4000 incorporates Varian’s Optical Isolation System, providing optical stability equal to that of a research grade optical bench. A reduction in vibrational noise is achieved by mounting the optics casting on an isolated system that floats independently of the units cover and sample compartment. The Varian Cary 4000 provides excellent resolution across the UV-Visible spectrum from 175 to 900 nm. Applications include materials testing and research, chem and petrochem, energy and fuels, food and agriculture, and biotech and pharma.

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.

We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
