Nuaire LabGard ES 6’ Class II, Type A2 Biosafety Cabinet / Procedure Station

  • Model NU-677-600
  • Includes hydraulic stand
  • New HEPA filters included
  • 90-day warranty

The NU-677 is tailor-made for work in a vivarium by integrating an NSF-listed 12” (305mm) work access opening for cage access, castors and pull bars for mobility, and height adjustability for user ergonomics. This design also rises to the unique challenges of controlling airflow in a particulate-heavy environment.

A normal biosafety cabinet’s HEPA filters may not last long in a vivarium, where hair and dander can more quickly saturate them. That is, unless the cabinet is adapted for this particular environment by using a pre-filter to strain out the larger elements and leave the HEPA filters to contend with smaller particulate. The backwall placement of this pre-filter makes it easy to remove and maintain as needed.

A single DC ECM motor with a precision engineered forward curved fan powers airflow though the biosafety cabinet. The ultra-high efficiency motor lowers energy costs and reduces noise pollution but is powerful enough to extend filter life. The one motor design allows for easy certification and airflow balancing. It provides enough power to compensate for HEPA filter loading, reducing filter changes lowering the total ownership cost.

The work zone side and back walls are constructed from stainless steel for easy cleanability and surround a unified, flat work surface. Users can adjust the cabinet’s height at the press of a button and easily monitor cabinet performance through the Aeromax control system that visualizes airflow plenum pressure through a series of multicolored lights and activates both an audible and visual alarm whenever cabinet performance departs from normal parameters.

The left wall features a 14”W x 16.5”H built-in pass through / dirty cage collection window. It allows for the stacking of dirty cages outside of the work zone into a biohazard bag or can be built to connect to a glovebox or even built into a wall for room-to- room transfers. The right wall has a single feed hopper that allows the technician to easily access a food source within a sterile work zone. The work surface features a 16” diameter waste disposal system that allows the technician to dump bedding and waste while maintaining NSF/ANSI 49 Class II conditions.

Our technicians test each bio safety cabinet to ensure that the controls and blower motor work properly. Unless otherwise specified all bio safety cabinets come with new HEPA filters installed by our technicians at our facility prior to shipment. Our testing procedure includes all the elements of a bio safety cabinet certification in order to ensure that the unit will pass certification once it is at your site.

The photos above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
