American Instrument Exchange has extensive experience refurbishing used biosafety cabinets for laboratory and cleanroom environments.
Each biosafety cabinet is inspected by our technicians to verify proper blower operation, control functionality, airflow performance, lighting operation, cabinet integrity, and overall system condition prior to shipment. Unless otherwise specified, new HEPA filters are installed at our facility before delivery.
Testing procedures include major elements associated with biosafety cabinet certification to help support certification readiness upon installation at your facility. Final certification should be completed by qualified field technicians after installation in accordance with laboratory and facility requirements.
Biosafety cabinets should be certified by qualified field technicians after installation and before laboratory use.
American Instrument Exchange performs functional testing prior to shipment to support certification readiness upon arrival. Buyers should confirm facility compatibility, electrical requirements, airflow requirements, and certification standards prior to installation.
Certification services are available through our affiliate company AIE Laboratory Services, which provides biosafety cabinet certification, testing, preventative maintenance, and field service support for laboratory containment equipment.
Certification requirements may vary depending on laboratory protocols, facility standards, and application requirements.
Biosafety cabinets are oversized laboratory instruments that may require special handling during transportation, delivery, and installation. Buyers should confirm laboratory access dimensions, doorway clearances, electrical compatibility, and final cabinet placement before shipment.
Depending on the installation environment, liftgate delivery, inside delivery services, rigging assistance, or coordinated facility access may be recommended.
A 6-foot biosafety cabinet provides additional sterile workspace that may support high-throughput workflows, larger protocols, or multiple operators working simultaneously.
Labconco Constant Airflow Profile™ (CAP) technology is designed to help maintain stable airflow performance as HEPA filters load over time while supporting consistent cabinet airflow conditions.
The Labconco Purifier Logic+ platform may include a 10° angled sash, curved armrest grille, eye-level display positioning, and ergonomic workspace layout designed to improve operator comfort during extended workflows.
Yes. The MyLogic™ operating system continuously displays cabinet status information and remaining HEPA filter life to help operators monitor cabinet performance and maintenance requirements.
New filters for a Labconco Logic+ biosafety cabinet, plus the cost of installation, can total anywhere from $2,000 to $3,500 or more, depending on your location and what your certifier charges for installation. We install new HEPA filters in every biosafety cabinet and clean bench prior to shipment. If you’re purchasing a used biosafety cabinet without filters, there’s no way to know for sure that it works properly. If you’re buying a used biosafety cabinet with old filters, you may not be able to determine the age of the filters or safe operating time remaining, plus there are concerns of contamination. Installing new filters is the best way for us to guarantee that each Labconco Logic+ biosafety cabinet works to specification and is fully decontaminated.
Labconco Logic+ biosafety cabinets are equipped with a full-color LCD information center to provide real-time user programming and feedback. In addition to basics like sash height warnings, a bar graph shows the life of the HEPA filter so that you can plan for filter replacement. It’s a handy guideline to have and can help minimize/coordinate your downtime so that you’re not caught off guard by a malfunction.
Many biosafety cabinets are equipment with stands that bolt together and thus can be broken down and shipped on the same pallet at the unit itself. Laboconco Logic+ 302619001 models, however, come with one piece welded stands that cannot be broken down. These stands are durable as heck and the one piece welding precludes any danger of incorrect stand assembly. The drawback is that they need to ship on a separate pallet. So some decreased risk in ownership, but increased shipping cost.
