Built upon standard-setting performance, including high speed, low heat output, imbalance tolerance and low noise, the Beckman Avanti J-26S XP Centrifuge has a vast range of separations only continues to grow, and now with three-phase filtration that further separates sluice materials into solids, liquids and gasses. The addition of the HEPA filter kit makes the instrument BioSafe.
The J-26S XP centrifuge has a more impact-resistant lid, full containment barrier and automatic rotor identification. Its ergonomic design has a lower instrument height and hands-free door operation. The J-26S XP can process six liters of fermenter output in less than 10 minutes, deliver a subcellular fraction at 82,000 x g and run 24 microplates at a time.
It automatically detects which rotor is installed and prevents the rotor from running above its maximum-rated speed, and enables quicker, quieter, more energy-efficient runs with better temperature control. The exclusive high-torque, switched reluctance (SR) drive shortens cycle times.
Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly.
We also test refrigeration to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. We measure all tolerances and clean the exterior and interior of all units. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.
Our technicians inspect all rotors, including any buckets, gaskets and overspeed disks. Fixed angle rotors are closely inspected for body integrity; swinging bucket rotors supplied with buckets are checked for proper weight distribution. When possible we run each rotor in a compatible centrifuge to make sure the rotor spins properly.

Used/reconditioned/refurbished equipment is tested to make sure it operates to the manufacturer's specifications and comes with a 90-day warranty (unless otherwise noted). New equipment comes with a warranty from the manufacturer.
Testing requirements vary across all the equipment categories we sell. Temperature controlled units are tested with NIST traceable probes and data loggers. Gaskets, external housing, glass, handles, controls and control screens are all thoroughly inspected for integrity and functionality.
We test all equipment using the manufacturer's parameters and specifications to confirm that the unit operates properly.
We can ship products both nationally and internationally using a well-established network of transporters. Smaller items will ship via UPS. Larger equipment will be palletized and shipped either LTL or air-ride, depending on the specific equipment and/or delivery requirements.
