Overview of the Beckman Coulter Allegra V-15R Refrigerated Centrifuge

The Beckman Coulter Allegra V-15R is a refrigerated benchtop centrifuge optimized for clinical diagnostics, blood processing, biotechnology workflows, pharmaceutical sample preparation, microbiology applications, molecular biology workflows, and cell culture laboratories. Unlike larger floor-model centrifuges designed for industrial-scale processing, the Allegra V-15R delivers flexible refrigerated centrifugation in a compact footprint suitable for modern research and clinical laboratories.

The included VS 4.750 swinging bucket rotor provides exceptional versatility by supporting large-volume bottles, blood collection tubes, conical tubes, and a wide range of adapter configurations. This flexibility allows laboratories to process multiple sample types using a single rotor platform while minimizing workflow interruptions and rotor changes. The refrigerated chamber maintains stable sample temperatures throughout centrifugation, helping preserve sample integrity during sensitive biologic and clinical workflows.

The combination of refrigeration performance, broad rotor compatibility, compact dimensions, and high-capacity sample processing makes the Allegra V-15R particularly valuable in hospitals, blood processing laboratories, biotechnology facilities, pharmaceutical laboratories, and academic research environments.

Beckman Coulter V-15R centrifuge FAQs

So this unit is brand new?

This unit arrived in our warehouse in the original packaging and with no signs of previous use. We have unpacked it to test and confirm full functionality with the VS 4.750 rotor, but as far as we can tell that is the only time this Beckman V-15R centrifuge has been spun.

Can you set up this centrifuge in my lab?

Our freight carriers can provide white-glove delivery service for any location throughout the continental United States, meaning they will carry the unit to your location, unpack it, and set it on the bench in your lab. For customers in Greater Boston and throughout New England, we can dispatch one of our field service technicians to make sure the Beckman V-15R is level and installed properly. Our techs can also provide basic tutorials on proper usage and safety precautions.

Do you offer repair services for the Beckman V-15R, even if I purchased it from a different vendor?

Absolutely. We are here to support a wide range of laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, ultralow freezers, lyophilizes, and more. Please contact our sales staff or fill out the contact form for equipment repair request.

Is the Beckman V-15R easy to program?

If you’ve ever set program for common centrifuges like the Eppendorf 5810R, Eppendorf 5910Ri, or Thermo Lynx 6000, programming the Beckman V-15R shouldn’t be a challenge.

Testing Procedures for Used and Refurbished Laboratory Centrifuges

Ensure Quality, Accuracy, and Compliance Before Deployment

Used and refurbished laboratory centrifuges from American Instrument Exchange undergo testing procedures to ensure they meet the performance, safety, and compliance standards required in modern laboratories.

Why Testing Used Laboratory Centrifuges Is Essential

Before a centrifuge is reintroduced into a lab environment, it must be tested for:

  • Mechanical integrity
  • Rotor balance and speed accuracy
  • Safety system functionality
  • Electrical compliance

Proper testing helps extend equipment lifespan, reduce downtime, and ensure safety in high-stakes lab environments such as clinical diagnostics, biotechnology, and research applications.

Our structured testing protocol for used and refurbished centrifuges ensures equipment safety, accuracy, and longevity.

Key Testing Procedures for Refurbished and Used Centrifuges

1. Initial Visual Inspection
