Labconco Xpert Filtered Balance System 395060122455 Key Overview

The Labconco Xpert Filtered Balance System is engineered specifically for laboratories performing weighing and powder handling procedures that generate airborne particulates. Unlike traditional balance tables or open benchtop weighing stations, the Xpert system incorporates HEPA-filtered airflow to capture particulates generated during dispensing and weighing operations. The integrated Guardian Airflow Monitor continuously monitors airflow conditions to help operators verify proper system operation. The enclosure design minimizes airflow disturbances around the balance, helping improve weighing stability while simultaneously protecting personnel from exposure to powders and particulate materials.

Common Applications for the Labconco Xpert Filtered Balance System 395060122455

The Xpert Filtered Balance System is commonly used for pharmaceutical compounding, analytical weighing, powder dispensing, formulation development, standards preparation, chemical weighing, forensic laboratory procedures, quality control testing, and research applications involving dry powders. Laboratories working with active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), chemical powders, laboratory reagents, and fine particulate materials frequently utilize filtered balance enclosures to reduce operator exposure while maintaining accurate weighing performance.

Ideal Lab Types for the Labconco Xpert Filtered Balance System 395060122455

This filtered balance workstation is well suited for pharmaceutical laboratories, biotechnology companies, chemical laboratories, contract testing organizations, forensic laboratories, university research facilities, quality control departments, and environmental testing laboratories. Facilities utilizing analytical balances, biosafety cabinets, fume hoods, and centrifuges often incorporate filtered balance systems into their sample preparation workflows.

Refurbishment and Testing Process

At American Instrument Exchange, each refurbished filtered balance system is inspected and evaluated by our technicians prior to shipment. Testing procedures may include blower operation verification, airflow assessment, Guardian Airflow Monitor functionality testing, sash inspection, lighting evaluation where applicable, HEPA filter inspection, and general operational testing. Components showing excessive wear are addressed as needed to help ensure reliable operation. Final cleaning and inspection are completed before packaging and shipment.

Shipping and Installation Considerations

The Labconco Xpert Filtered Balance System is designed for benchtop installation and should be placed on a stable laboratory surface capable of supporting both the enclosure and the balance installed within it. Buyers should verify electrical requirements, available bench space, and airflow clearance prior to installation. Depending on laboratory requirements, HEPA filter certification or replacement may be recommended before use. The enclosure is carefully packaged for shipment to help protect the sash, blower system, and filtration components during transport.

Related Laboratory Equipment

Laboratories purchasing filtered balance systems often also require analytical balances, biosafety cabinets, fume hoods, centrifuges, and laboratory refrigerators. American Instrument Exchange offers a wide selection of refurbished laboratory equipment to support weighing, sample preparation, containment, and research workflows.
