The Coy Labs InVivo Hypoxic Cabinet System provides a unique, hermetically sealed chamber for continuous oxygen control, making it ideal for long-term studies or housing animals in hypoxic, normoxic, or hyperoxic conditions. This innovative system allows precise adjustments of oxygen levels in increments of 0.1%, giving researchers unparalleled flexibility.
By simply connecting nitrogen and oxygen gas sources, users can create and maintain their desired atmosphere with the system’s advanced controller and sensor.
Designed for high-capacity studies, the cabinet features the Coy Animal Filtration System, which removes gaseous waste via a closed-loop circuit. This efficient system uses a pump to draw chamber air through CarbO2Lime and activated carbon filters, returning it purified to the chamber. Sealed quick-disconnects enable filter changes without compromising the controlled environment, ensuring smooth and continuous operation.
To maintain an optimal atmosphere, the cabinet includes four compact dehumidifiers that effectively remove moisture without desiccants. These dehumidifiers condense excess humidity onto a “cold wall,” and built-in drains remove it from the chamber. This setup ensures a non-condensing environment that protects equipment and sensors from damage while providing a comfortable space for animals and users.
Additionally, the system integrates an advanced HEPA filtration unit that removes contaminants as small as 0.3 microns. A vacuum pump draws air through the filter, which sits outside the chamber for easy replacement without breaking the seal. This comprehensive atmospheric regulation ensures a safe, clean, and reliable environment for sensitive research needs.
This InVivo Hypoxic Cabinet is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all gloveboxes to confirm that they operate properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. They visually inspect for damage such as cracks, leaks, or worn-out seals. Afterward, conduct a pressure decay test by inflating the glovebox and monitoring if the pressure holds steady.
Additionally, if you have specific testing requirements or requests, please inform us. We will gladly work with you to ensure these requirements are addressed during testing.
