The refurbished New Brunswick Innova 40R Refrigerated Incubator Shaker (by Eppendorf) is a compact, high-performance benchtop system designed for controlled shaking and incubation of biological samples. With refrigerated temperature control, orbital shaking up to 500 rpm, and the industry-proven triple-eccentric drive, the Innova 40R delivers reliable, uniform growth conditions for microbial cultures, cell lines, and fermentation studies.
Applications for the New Brunswick Innova 40R include microbial culture (bacteria, yeast), cell culture (insect, plant cells), protein expression and fermentation studies, media optimization and screening, seed culture preparation for bioreactors, among others.
An incubator shaker combines controlled temperature incubation with orbital shaking, allowing simultaneous growth and aeration of cultures—commonly used in microbiology, molecular biology, and bioprocessing.
The refrigerated system allows operation below ambient temperatures, enabling experiments that require cooling as well as heating—expanding the range of applications.
It can accommodate multiple flasks up to 3 liters, making it suitable for small- to medium-scale culture work.
This design minimizes vibration, reduces wear, and ensures consistent shaking motion, even during long continuous runs.
Yes. It supports multi-step programming, allowing automated changes in speed, temperature, and time during experiments.
