The Tuttnauer 6-Gallon Ultrasonic Cleaner with Basket is manufactured with only the highest quality components. It is equipped with a durable vinyl clad steel housing that is easy to clean and resists scratching.
This ultrasonic cleaner comes with a stainless-steel safety basket.
The ultrasonic cleaner provides 60 kHz of quiet cleaning power which is less aggressive to instruments while still removing all surface contamination. The contemporary design and quiet operation complement any office environment. The 6-Gallon size holds a standard selection of instruments or 6 full-size cassettes.
Tuttnauer’s Ultrasonic Cleaners are function best when used in concert with their Clean & Simple ultrasonic/enzymatic solution tablets. Drop 2 tablets into your ultrasonic tank already filled with tap water and the tablets will dissolve in about a minute. This is a non-ionic solution which is non-corrosive, non-toxic, biodegradable and non-caustic.
The ultrasonic cleaning process uses ultrasonic energy to create alternating high and low-pressure phases within a cleaning solution. These phases generate tiny vacuum bubbles throughout the solution, which grow to a critical size and then implode violently. This phenomenon, known as ultrasonic cavitation, produces an intense scrubbing action. The microscopic bubbles thoroughly clean complex surfaces and intricate details of the parts being cleaned.
To generate ultrasonic energy, piezoelectric transducers are bonded to the cleaning tank. An ultrasonic generator converts standard line voltage into high-frequency pulses, which are applied to the transducers. These pulses cause the crystals in the transducers to expand and contract, producing acoustical energy within the solution. The resulting pressure changes from this energy initiate ultrasonic cavitation, enabling highly effective cleaning performance.
