  • Maximum speed: 14,000 rpm
  • Rotor included; call or email for info on available models

The Beckman Coulter 22R Microfuge is a handy little refrigerated benchtop centrifuge that can be used for a wide variety of applications, including nucleic acid plasmids and bacteriophages isolation, routine processing such as sample preparations, pelleting, and extractions, as well as virus isolation and preparation of subcellular organelles. The Beckman 22R can hold from 24 x 2ml tubes to 96 x 2ml tubes, depending on rotor selection. All compatible rotors are fixed-angle and maintenance free, and can be autoclaved at 121oC for sterilization. With a small footprint and quiet operation, the Beckman Coulter 22R is a relatively small but very useful addition to any lab.

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly. If the centrifuge is refrigerated we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned.  If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.

Our technicians inspect all rotors, including any buckets, gaskets and overspeed disks. Fixed angle rotors are closely inspected for body integrity; swinging bucket rotors supplied with buckets are checked for proper weight distribution. When possible we run each rotor in a compatible centrifuge to make sure the rotor spins properly.

The photos above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
