Beckman Avanti J-26S XP Centrifuge

  • Max speed: 26,000 rpm
  • Rotor available; call or email for details
  • 6L capacity depending on rotor selection
  • 90-day warranty

Built upon standard-setting performance, including high speed, low heat output, imbalance tolerance and low noise, the J-26S XP’s vast range of separations only continues to grow, and now with three-phase filtration that further separates sluice materials into solids, liquids and gasses. The addition of the HEPA filter kit makes the instrument BioSafe. The J-26S XP centrifuge has a more impact-resistant lid, full containment barrier and automatic rotor identification. Its ergonomic design has a lower instrument height and hands-free door operation. The J-26S XP can process six liters of fermenter output in less than 10 minutes, deliver a subcellular fraction at 82,000 x g and run 24 microplates at a time. It automatically detects which rotor is installed and prevents the rotor from running above its maximum-rated speed, and enables quicker, quieter, more energy-efficient runs with better temperature control. The exclusive high-torque, switched reluctance (SR) drive shortens cycle times.

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly. If the centrifuge is refrigerated we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.

Our technicians inspect all rotors, including any buckets, gaskets and overspeed disks. Fixed angle rotors are closely inspected for body integrity; swinging bucket rotors supplied with buckets are checked for proper weight distribution. When possible we run each rotor in a compatible centrifuge to make sure the rotor spins properly.

The photos above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
