The Sorvall Evolution RC is an updated version of the popular RC-5C model. The Evolution RC is very user friendly, with an intuitive instrument panel, large digital display that continuously shows set and run conditions, and hands-free access for help opening the chamber door when holding a rotor. The Evolution RC also offers higher speed and g-force and other features that provide shorter total processing time. And that higher throughput equals higher productivity for your lab. The Sorvall Evolution RC is compatible with several Fiberlite rotors (sold separately), an advanced alternative to metal rotors with better durability and overall performance. The drive system includes a brushless motor, a high superspeed imbalance tolerance, and the Duraflex gyro system to prevent damaged to the drive shaft or motor in the event of an imbalanced rotor.

Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly. If the centrifuge is refrigerated we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.
