The Thermo Sorvall Legend 21R microcentrifuge can accelerate from a stopped position to 21,0000 x g in just 12 seconds and cooling from ambient to -9°C in under ten minutes. The Thermo Sorvall Legend 21R is compatible with a variety of rotors (sold separately – call for details) and accommodates 36 x 0.5mL microtubes, 24 x 2 mL tubes, or 8 x 8 PCR strips. Rotors feature ClickSeal biocontainment lids that click into place, ensuring securely contained samples. The Thermo Legend 21R is also compact and the space-saving design has a small footprint so that the microcentrifuge doesn’t take up valuable bench space in the lab.   

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly. If the centrifuge is refrigerated we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned.  If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.
