The Genevac EZ-2 is designed for solvent removal in life science research, including both complete drying and concentration of samples. The EZ-2 Plus personal evaporator is a compact unit that is easier to use than a standard rotary evaporator and compatible with all commonly used solvents and acids. The EZ-2 Plus is specifically recommended for more difficult solvents with higher boiling points, as it is equipped with chamber heating and a more powerful pump. The use of the high-efficiency solvent resistant Teflon diaphragm pump, which is integral to the evaporator, saves space and provides quiet, efficient control of the vacuum.
