Studies have shown that mechanically refrigerated cryogenic freezer systems have better temperature uniformity than LN2 vapor phase systems, with 100% of the storage space in a cryogenic chest freezer like the Revco ULT7150 staying at or below -150°C, safely below the -130°C glass transition temperature of water, improving cell viability by reducing occurrences of biologically relevant, thermally driven reactions. The Revco ULT7150 offers a number of advantages over LN2 cryogenic storage, including top-to-bottom temperature uniformity dramatically improved when compared to LN2 vapor and lower operating costs than LN2 freezers of similar capacity. The refrigeration system features a patented, single air-cooled compressor, orbital system with an exclusive mixed refrigerant autocascade design.

Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians use calibrated digital chart recorders to verify the accuracy of temperature controls and readouts of all ultralow freezers, making sure that the units hold temperature to within the manufacturer specified tolerance. We replace any hardware or parts as is necessary and if needed replace refrigerant. We clean all freezers thoroughly prior to shipment.
