Baker Chemgard-RI chemical fume hood

  • 6’ wide chemical fume hood
  • Can be used for radioisotope applications
  • Combination vertical/horizontal sash
  • Base cabinets included
  • 90 day warranty

Baker Chemgard fume hoods are designed to provide personnel protection from toxic and/or volatile chemicals by continuously delivering airflow away from the user to the work area. Fume hoods reduce potential exposure hazard to personnel. The combination horizontal/vertical sash enhances both operator safety and energy savings while the sight-tight continuous bypass duct minimizes contaminant concentrations near the edge of the sash, reducing potential exposure hazard to personnel. These Baker Chemgard-RI fume hoods are also appropriate for radioisotope application, with formed radii, precision-engineered, 16-gauge, Type 304 stainless steel, coved corners, water-tight welded and polished seams and a coved corner stainless steel work surface, 3⁄4" deep, continuously welded to interior.  The reinforced work surface accommodates lead shielding, supports maximum 200 lbs/sq.ft., to work surface weight of 1,000 lbs. The stainless steel interior and exterior provides long-term durability, easy cleaning and resistance to corrosion.

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians inspect all fume hoods to make sure that the baffles are present and intact, the interior lights are functioning, and that the sash is intact and runs smoothly on the tracks along with the counterweights. We can also provide information on the fixtures installed on each hood. Please note that we do not provide blower motors with fume hood sales. For more information on blower motor selection please feel free to call or email us; we recommend speaking with an HVAC specialist regarding your particular motor needs..
