Besides the fact that Thermo Revco REB2304A blood bank refrigerator meets requirements established by a number of regulatory agencies, including the AABB, ANRC, and FDA for storage of whole blood and blood components, this is also just a plain old well designed machine. The heavy duty compressors are hermitically sealed and the positive forced-air circulation system gives you greater temperature uniformity throughout the chamber AND better recovery time after the door has been opened. On top of that, the Thermo REB2304A has two internal temperature probes, giving you confidence in the accuracy of the readings and better verification that the blood is kept stored at the correct temperature. The Thermo REB2304A features high-density, CFC-free urethane foam insulation to protect the cabinet from ambient temperature fluctuations. The shelves slide smoothly on casters to make each drawer more accessible.
