Buchi R-300 rotary evaporator system

The Buchi R-300 rotary evaporator “rotavapor” system includes the R-300 tower, I-300 Pro interface/vacuum controller, B-300 heating bath, and V-300 vacuum pump. The Buchi R-300 features an ergonomic handle with that conveniently allows you to change the position of the lift, direction rotation speed control for immediate adjustment of rotation speed, and Combi-Clip flask connection.

Buchi R-300 rotary evaporator system features

  • Buchi R-300 tower
  • I-300 Pro interface
  • B-305 heating bath
  • V-300 vacuum pump
  • 90-day warranty

The Buchi B-305 water bath features an integrated display showing heating bath temperature, flask rotation speed and lift position. The B-305 can accommodate flasks up to 5L and can be used for a broad range of applications.

The Buchi I-300 Pro has a 7” touch screen to control and view all of the process parameters for the R-300 system at a glance. The I-300 Pro features guided operation with programmable methods including push notifications on mobile devices when manual interaction is required and synchronized processing thanks to centrally controlled rotary evaporator, heating bath, and speed-controlled vacuum pump.

The Buchi V-300 is a chemically resistant PTFE diaphragm vacuum pump with quiet, efficient operation. Flow rate is 1.8m3/h and the ultimate vacuum is 5 mbar. With the I-300 Pro interface a set vacuum is achieved very precisely by means of speed-control operation. Due to the absence of sudden pressure changes bumping is minimized. Condensed solvents or particles are easily visible thanks to the transparent front panel.

Buchi rotary evaporators allow users to quickly perform single step distillations in a product friendly manner with the evaporation and condensation of solvents using the rotating evaporating flask. Distillations are typically performed under vacuum, which helps protect the product and increases performance output.

While specific conditions will vary depending on application, the basic operation of a Buchi rotovap system is as follows: the solvent is heated over a heating bath while the drive unit rotates the evaporating flask evenly. The solvent vapor flows quickly into the condenser and the energy in the solvent is transferred to the cooling medium. And presto bingo, the solvent condenses and collects in the receiving flask.

Testing

Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. We will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run.

If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know. We’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.
