The Buchi R-200 allows users to quickly perform single step distillations in a product friendly manner with the evaporation and condensation of solvents using the rotating evaporating flask. Distillations are typically performed under vacuum, which helps protect the product and increases performance output. While specific conditions will varying depending on application, the basic operation of the Buchi R-200 rotovap is as follows: the solvent is heated over a heating bath while the drive unit rotates the evaporating flask evenly. The solvent vapor flows quickly into the condenser and the energy in the solvent is transferred to the cooling medium. And presto bingo, the solvent condenses and collects in the receiving flask. The Buchi R-200 is relatively easy to use and features digital displays for bath temperature, rotation speed and vapor temperature.
Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.
