Chemglass 2L Jacketed Process Reactor with Digital Overhead Stirrer

The Chemglass 2L Process Reactor is a complete reactor system on the Chemglass open air stand. Jacketed reaction vessel with graduation scale on both sides. Inlet/outlet has a tool-free flat flange connector. No Tools Are Necessary to attach hose fittings to the inlet and outlet of the jacket.

A low temperature plug and control knob, designated by a blue indicator band can be used down to -60° C. Valves are designed to seal flush with the bottom of the flask avoiding the dead space normally associated with stopcock drains. This feature permits total mixing and draining of the contents of the reactor.

Chemglass 2L Jacketed Reactor features

  • 2000 mL capacity
  • 5-neck lid with two angled necks
  • Digital motor
  • 90-day warranty

The 2L vessel is coupled with a five-neck lid with two vertical side necks and two that have a 10° degree angle. The lid has a flat ground surface allowing it to be greased or used with an o-ring. Inside the vessel is a one-piece agitator, with a body that is made entirely from one piece of class VI virgin PTFE.

The smooth machined surface has no seams, joints or crevices for material to collect. Provides excellent stirring, especially when heavy slurries are being mixed.

Stirring power to the agitator is channeled through a dry running mechanical seal that rotates with the shaft, providing for a vacuum and pressure tight seal; maximum vacuum rating is 5 Torr, maximum pressure is 2-3 PSI. Unlike conventional PTFE Bearings, bearing will not “flake” contaminating your reaction.

All seals are made using perfluorinated O-rings providing outstanding resistance to the most aggressive chemicals. Bearing seals are rated at up to 2000 RPM. The design allows you to have the flexibility of vertical adjustment and still choose your agitator diameter and style. Bearing has a ferrule and locking nut to ensure that the seal rotates properly.

Testing

This Chemglass 2L Jacketed Reactor is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications.

We can’t test for a specific analytical application but we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know. We’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.
