The Distek ED-4 Tablet Disintegration Tester is used in pharmaceutical laboratories for quality control, research and production. The ED-4 supports four baskets in two pairs. Each pair of baskets is driven by an independent motor and timer. The basket assembly can be locked on the arm by a simple hooking mechanism, which prevents the baskets from swiveling.

The temperature in the beakers is obtained through a robust water bath made from 6 mm transparent acrylic. The programmable temperature controller has a range of 20.0 ºC to 39.9 ºC. The temperature in the bath has an accuracy of ± 0.2 ºC.

Lights are provided at the bottom of the baskets for better viewing of the disintegration of the tablets.

A user-friendly splash proof panel is provided with membrane keys for settings. The ED-4 works in both timer mode and manual mode, and has two independent programmable timers with dual range settings, i.e. Hrs: Min and Min: Sec.

Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.
