Glas-Col mantle operation requires Manual or Automatic temperature control (sold separately) to maintain the desired temperature and to prevent overheating of the mantle, the vessel and its contents. Low-temperature (type GF) mantles should not be operated above 400°C (752° F).

Glas-Col mantles do not require regularly scheduled maintenance. However, regular inspection is recommended, and damaged mantles should be removed from service immediately. Glas-Col mantles should be protected from chemical spillage, mechanical damage and corrosive atmospheres so far as possible.

This mantle is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.

We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit.
