The Illumina High-Speed Microplate Shaker - 945190, delivers powerful, programmable performance for demanding laboratory mixing applications. It’s ideal for molecular biology, mechanical or chemical cell lysis, mixing tissue or cytogenetic suspensions, and vortexing cell suspensions. The shaker also excels at emulsifying viscous or bipolar fluids and mixing liquids in small-diameter tubes, making it highly versatile across many experimental workflows.
This unit accommodates up to 48 microplates, including deep-well formats. It shakes vessels up to 12.7 cm (5") high and supports a tray weight of up to 3.2 kg (7 lbs.). You can adjust the tray height from 3.2 mm (1/8") to 12.7 cm (5") to match most labware. With a weight of 22.7 kg (50 lbs.) and 12 suction-cup feet, the shaker stays firmly in place during high-speed operation.
Digital controls make programming quick and precise. You can set speeds from 600 to 2500 RPM (±25 RPM) and time from 1 to 9999 seconds. Continuous mode shows elapsed time, while timed mode displays time remaining. Adjustments are easy using the up and down arrows on the front panel.
To boost efficiency in difficult mixing tasks, the programmable pulsing feature starts and stops at set intervals. This action enhances emulsification and improves performance with highly viscous or layered liquids. Additionally, the shaker includes an RS-232 interface for integration with external systems, supporting advanced lab automation needs.
The Illumina 945190 is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that they operate properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications.
While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. Additionally, if you have specific testing requirements or requests, please inform us. We will gladly work with you to ensure these requirements are addressed during testing.
