Labconco 6’ Purifier Logic Class II, Type A2 Biological Safety Cabinet
Cat. No. 3460801
Stand included
New HEPA filters included
90-day warranty
Purifier Logic cabinets have been designed to provide unprecedented assurance that you, your product, and your laboratory environment are protected. Typical applications include work with agents that require Biosafety Level 1, 2, or 3 containment and antineoplastic drug preparation. HEPA filter system removes 99.99% of 0.3-µm particles. Advanced filter monitoring system and ergonomic design increase your safety.
LCD safety monitoring system provides detailed information and warns when hazardous conditions are detected. Airflow alert warns you of a change in airflow, which could be caused by an obstruction and be potentially harmful, or when the filter has 20, 10, and 0% life remaining. Status line provides feedback on the system, including whether the system is “OK” or if the “sash is too high.” Continuous bar graph display provides information on the life of the HEPA filter and when it will need to be changed.
Electronically commutated motor (ECM) technology provides precisely controlled airflow with no need for additional airflow sensors. Motor is programmed after installation to deliver a consistent volume of air, even as the load on the HEPA filter changes, also providing longer filter life. ECM conserves energy by using up to 60% less than conventional motor systems. Quieter operation and less heat generation allow for more comfortable working conditions. ECM lasts approximately four times longer than conventional blower motors. Night-Smart system allows the unit to run at 30% normal speed when sash is completely closed to help maintain a clean environment when not in use; blower resumes normal operation when sash is raised.
Ergonomic design features include an angled sash for more comfortable viewing without glare, 29” of viewing height, bright fluorescent lighting for less eye strain, and a curved inlet grille to support your forearms. Large interior provides more cubic feet than any other biosafety cabinet available, and the leak-tight 304 stainless steel liner includes a removable work surface with attached lift knobs for easier cleaning. All cabinets require a base stand, order separately.
Type A2 Biosafety Cabinets are designed to discharge HEPA-filtered air directly into the laboratory environment, while providing a nominal inflow velocity of 105 fpm and a downflow velocity of 55 fpm; maintaining approximately 70% air recirculation within the unit.
Our technicians test each bio safety cabinet to ensure that the controls and blower motor work properly. Unless otherwise specified all bio safety cabinets come with new HEPA filters installed by our technicians at our facility prior to shipment. Our testing procedure includes all the elements of a bio safety cabinet certification in order to ensure that the unit will pass certification once it is at your site.
