With smooth movement of the sledge, precision specimen orientation, and emphasis on safety and ergonomics, the Leica SM2010 R sliding microtome is an investment in safety, productivity and quality.

The stable sliding microtome has a totally enclosed micrometer feeding system with an ergonomically positioned object head close to the user. The smooth-running sledge can be locked in 11 positions by using the easily accessible sledge brake. The SM2010 R features precise ± 8° xy specimen orientation with defined zero position and click stops at every 2° turn for reproducible sectioning; user-selectable cutting window that is adjustable for a large variety of specimen sizes in automatic mode (up to 30 µm); a colored safety finger guard that helps reduce the risk of injury; and a V-shaped ErgoGrip handle for easy, fatigue-free sectioning.

The SM2010 R also has the quick clamping system for specimen clamps allows the operator to quickly and easily change from one clamp to another, resulting in improved workflow; large volume antistatic section waste tray with area for tools allows collection of large volume of waste and ease of cleaning due to the antistatic surface, results in improved workflow and efficiency; and the entire blade length can be used through quick and safe lateral displacement.

Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests, please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are met during testing.

We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
