The Leybold Sogevac SV40 BI Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump efficiently pumps inert gases within the medium vacuum range, from atmospheric pressure to its ultimate pressure. When handling condensable vapors, operators must install or open a gas ballast valve to maintain optimal performance. This pump ensures reliable operation in various industrial and laboratory applications requiring stable and consistent vacuum performance.
As a single-stage, oil-sealed rotary vane pump, the SV40 BI features a rotor with three sliding vanes installed eccentrically within a pump cylinder. These vanes create three internal chambers, which change in volume as the rotor turns. The pump compresses the gas drawn into the inlet chamber and expels it through the exhaust valve, ensuring efficient gas removal and smooth operation.
Oil injection in the inlet chamber enhances air-tightness, lubrication, and cooling, ensuring peak performance. The compressed gases carry the oil into the sump, where gravity separates most of it before fine filtration occurs in the exhaust filter.
An internal transfer system, regulated by a float valve, returns the collected oil to the vacuum generator. This system prevents atmospheric air from entering the pump when oil is absent, ensuring efficient oil circulation through differential pressures.
The Sogevac B pumps optimize space and minimize design constraints, making integration easy in various systems. Their versatile design allows them to replace most existing pumps without requiring special modifications. Improved lubrication circuits and precise mechanical tolerances ensure consistently low noise levels at all working pressures, enhancing operator comfort.
The integration of lubrication circuits and the gas ballast system into the pump’s main components reduces sealings and minimizes the number of parts. This streamlined design improves reliability, enhances durability, and extends maintenance intervals, making the Sogevac SV40 BI a cost-effective and long-lasting solution.
The Leybold Sogevac SV40 BI is used and reconditioned. Our technicians use essential tools like a vacuum gauge, leak detector, and proper vacuum pump oil to ensure effective testing. During the process, we inspect connections, check oil levels, monitor vacuum performance, and detect leaks to assess the pump’s condition accurately.
The listed specifications come directly from the manufacturer, but a vacuum pump’s suction naturally degrades over time. So, after receiving your order, we will test the pump and inform you of its actual vacuum pressure. We remove oil from all rotary vane vacuum pumps prior to shipping. You will need to acquire the proper oil and fill the pump upon arrival.
