The Mettler Toledo MS3002TS precision balance has a capacity of 3,200 grams with a readability of 0.01 grams and a pan size of 6.7 x 7.9 inches (170 x 200 mm). The MS-TS (touch screen) series of precision balances brings Mettler-Toledo's impressive MS line to a whole new level. The TS versions feature a huge optimized TFT color touch screen display that is operable even through lab gloves.
The Mettler Toledo MS-TS Series has built in security features ensuring that the readings are always accurate. An automatic warning system will alert operators if there is any problems or the tolerance on not adhered to. This allows for quick corrections of any issues and avoid cost involved with correcting these errors later.
The MS-TS features the renowned MonoBloc weighing cell with ProFACT internal calibration for quick and easy re-calibrations. The highly visible 7 inch color TFT touchscreen display is operable through cotton, silicon and rubber gloves which allows the balance to be used in a variety of industries and applications. The MS-TS is "loaded" with additional helpful features such as the LevelContron, MiniWeigh, and a security pass-code to lock certain features.

This Mettler Toledo Precision Balance is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test balances to ensure repeatability, correct cornerload tolerances, linearity, and reduced span at or near full capacity.
We also test all displays and controls as well as any other features that are included, such as auto-calibration and draft shield auto-retraction, to make sure the balances are fully operational.
The photos above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment.
We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
I see proFACT advertised with a lot of Mettler balances. So what exactly is proFACT and how does it work?
ProFACT is an acronym for “Professional Fully Automatic Calibration Technology, which is Mettler’s proprietary automatic internal adjustment system built into most laboratory weighing machines. It uses internal weights to continuously adjust the balance to environmental factors that might otherwise impact weighing accuracies like temperature changes. This ensures sustained accuracy in weighing results without daily or weekly manual calibration. So it’s both a time saver and accuracy enhancer for your laboratory.
Do you calibrate the Mettler MS3002TS as part of your testing?
Yes, part of our testing regimen for all balances includes calibrating them using NIST traceable weights. We also strongly recommend that customers either perform a bench calibration themselves upon receiving a new/refurbished balance or better yet have a professional calibration service test the unit. (This should be performed on a regular, annual basis as well.)
Do I need to purchase a draft shield to use with this unit?
In some cases your application may require a draft shield, but most toploading balances with large weighing pans do not typically require draft shields for operation. The larger pan is less sensitive to air currents.
Yes, all equipment from American Instrument Exchange comes with a warranty.
Used/reconditioned/refurbished equipment is tested to make sure it operates to the manufacturer's specifications and comes with a 90-day warranty (unless otherwise noted). New equipment comes with a warranty from the manufacturer.
Testing requirements vary across all the equipment categories we sell. Temperature controlled units are tested with NIST traceable probes and data loggers. Gaskets, external housing, glass, handles, controls and control screens are all thoroughly inspected for integrity and functionality.
We test all equipment using the manufacturer's parameters and specifications to confirm that the unit operates properly.
We can ship products both nationally and internationally using a well-established network of transporters. Smaller items will ship via UPS. Larger equipment will be palletized and shipped either LTL or air-ride, depending on the specific equipment and/or delivery requirements.
American Instrument Exchange will accept the return of any product that is not working as represented and could not be replaced or repaired to the customer's satisfaction during the warranty period. Customers who cancel orders after refurbishing has begun will be subject to a cancellation and restocking fee of between 20% and 40%.
