The Mettler Toledo XPE205 analytical balance has a capacity of 220g and a readability of 0.01mg. Part of the XPE series of Mettler's Excellence line of balances, it features all of the premium features you would come to expect from Mettler Toledo. Notable features include the new static detecting and elimination technology and the status light which gives immediate feedback on the error state of the balance.
The Mettler XPE205 features LabX Laboratory software that enables SOP user guidance on the balance, automatic data handling, and more. The draft shield easily dismantles in seconds without the need for tools and all parts are dishwasher safe for fast and efficient cleaning. The graphical LevelGuide warns you when the balance is out of level. The StatusLight turns red so that users can immediately correct the problem.
It features a built-in RS-232 interface and automatic internal calibration technology. The SmartTrac program enables precise dosing in small increments, and the SmartGrid weighing platform reduces the effects of turbulence. The balance is equipped with a range of intelligent features including automatic static charge detection, hands-free operation with infrared sensors, and a color touch screen with multi-language support. Ideal applications include pharmaceutical research, chemical analysis, and quality control in manufacturing.
This Mettler XPE205 Analytical Balance is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications.
We test balances to ensure repeatability, correct cornerload tolerances, linearity, and reduced span at or near full capacity. We also test all displays and controls as well as any other features. This insures that the balances are fully operational and ready to use in your lab.
The photos above are representative. The equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse. In addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment.
We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. We can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
Q: How fast does the Mettler XPE205 analytical balance stabilize?
A: Typical stabilization time on this model is approximately 2.5 seconds, allowing for quick weighing results. This is in line or better than most analytical balances on the market today.
Q: Does the balance self-calibrate?
A: The XPE205 features Mettler’s FACT system which provides internal automatic calibration to maintain accuracy as environmental conditions change. That being said, for applications in which exact weight is critical the XPE205 should be tested with routine external verification using certified weights. Consult your lab’s quality assurance protocols for more information.
Q: Is the draft shield easy to clean?
A: The draft shield on the Mettler XPE205 dismantles quickly, and many parts are dishwasher-safe for efficient cleaning and maintenance.
Q: What environmental conditions are ideal for accurate weighing?
A: Analytical balances like this perform best in stable temperature and humidity environments, on a level surface, and free from drafts or vibrations. American Instrument Exchange also sells marble and granite anti-vibration tables that are often used with analytical balances.
