Sanyo Micro Centaur Tabletop Microfuge

  • 12x 1.5mL rotor
  • 1,000 - 13,000 rpm

The Sanyo Micro Centaur Centrifuge has variable speed and space-saving dimensions, which makes it ideal for hospital and research laboratories. It is much easier to load, empty and clean. It is incredibly lightweight and small. It has a membrane keypad control, and digital LED display of speed and time.

The Micro Centaur features a 12-position rotor that spins smoothly and quietly, virtually without vibration, even at maximum speed; an electronic interlock which prevents operation of the lid release button while the rotor is in motion.; and an indicator light that signals when the rotor has come to rest and the lid may be opened safely.

Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly. If the centrifuge is refrigerated we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.

Our technicians inspect all rotors, including any buckets, gaskets and overspeed disks. Fixed angle rotors are closely inspected for body integrity; swinging bucket rotors supplied with buckets are checked for proper weight distribution. When possible we run each rotor in a compatible centrifuge to make sure the rotor spins properly.

The photos above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
